What personal information we keep and why we track it

We have chosen to switch comments off on our blog posts, so there will be no information collected here.


Contact forms
If you message us through our contact us page on our website, we will answer using the email address that you provide us with. This will NOT sign you to any email series, and we will NOT give this information out to other 3rd parties.

We place cookies on a couple of our pages in order to track the performance of our paid traffic from Facebook, Google and other sources.

This allows us to know if people are visiting our website, and if they are going further or not, and allows us to make more informed decisions.

We do not get release any private data from this, and we do not share our pixel with any third parties.

Logging in
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to keep your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen preference cookies last for 12 months. If you tick “Remember Me”, your login will remain the same for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish a blog post, an extra cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 24 hours.

Embedded content from unrelated websites
posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with
We do not share data with third parties, however we will place Facebook and/or Google pixels so that we can monitor the performance of our paid media.

This will not give us any private information, but lets us to make better decisions based on the general trend.

How long we store your data
If you make a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the private information they provide in their user profile.

All users can see, edit, or erase their private information at any time (however it is not possible to change their login name).

Website administrators can also view and update those details.

What rights you have over your data
If you have a profile on this website, or have previously commented (currently turned off), you can request to obtain an exported file of the personal data we have on record about you, including any data you have provided to us.

You can also ask us to delete any personal data we have stored about you.

This excludes any information we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
